About the Series
EX-ARM is a cyberpunk science-fiction manga series written by HiRock and illustrated by Shinya Komi. Set in a near-future Tokyo, the plot follows Akira Natsume, a high school student involved in a fatal traffic accident in 2014.
Akira awakens sixteen years later in 2030 to discover his brain has been extracted and converted into 'EX-ARM No.08', a super-weapon with immense computational and hacking capabilities. He partners with the Police Department's EX-ARM Countermeasures Section.
Working alongside officer Minami Uezono and android Alma, Akira fights illegal EX-ARM technology while unraveling the mystery behind his lost memory and body. The narrative delves into themes of artificial intelligence, human identity, and technological ethics.
