About the Series

Sakamoto Days, created by Yuto Suzuki, has rapidly emerged as one of the premier action franchises in modern shonen manga, famed for its mind-blowing fight choreography and charming humor. The story centers on Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who was once feared as the ultimate assassin across the underworld.

However, Sakamoto's life took an unexpected turn when he fell head-over-heels in love with a civilian woman named Aoi. He abruptly retired from the assassin business, gained weight, married Aoi, had a daughter, and opened a quiet neighbourhood neighborhood convenience store.

Despite his peaceful domestic lifestyle, Sakamoto's past refuses to stay buried. Bounty hunters, rival hitmen, and rogue underground organizations repeatedly target his family and store. Bound by a strict promise to his wife never to kill anyone again, Sakamoto must defeat deadly assassins using improvised everyday objects—from cough drops to shopping carts.

Joined by Shin, a mind-reading former hitman, and Lu, a martial-arts heiress, Sakamoto balances managing discount store sales with delivering some of the most creative, fluid action sequences in manga history.
