Liar Lily, known in Japanese as Usotsuki Lily, is a celebrated high school romantic comedy manga series created by Ayumi Komura. The story begins when first-year high school student Hinata Saotome is confessed to by En Shinohara, an extraordinarily attractive boy who fits her dream profile. However, she quickly discovers En's bizarre secret: he harbors a deep-seated hatred for men, including his own reflection, and survives by cross-dressing as a breathtakingly beautiful girl.

Despite En looking arguably prettier in skirts and dresses than most girls around him, Hinata decides to stick with the relationship, triggering a cascade of chaotic comedic events. En's obsession with female fashion, paired with his protective nature toward Hinata, creates constant gender-bending confusion among classmates and family members. Their school life quickly becomes a battleground of absurd misunderstandings, costume antics, and genuine romantic sparks.

Ayumi Komura expands the story beyond the core couple by introducing a vibrant supporting cast with equally unusual quirks and romantic dilemmas.
