Screaming Lessons (Zekkyo Gakkyu), created by Emi Ishikawa, is a renowned horror anthology manga serialized in Shueisha's Ribon magazine from 2008 to 2015. The series is navigated by Yomi, a ghostly girl missing her lower half, who serves as the narrator introducing dark lessons hidden in everyday life.
Each standalone story focuses on middle and high school students who succumb to jealousy, vanity, peer pressure, or cruelty. Their negative desires invoke ominous urban legends, cursed objects, or supernatural retribution, leading to chilling consequences.
