About the Manga
Shibuya-kun’s Pickup is a heartwarming romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Makoto Mitsuno. The narrative follows Aika Aota, a dedicated 28-year-old nursery school teacher who spends her days focusing entirely on childcare.
Her routine takes an unexpected turn when Taiga Shibuya, a gorgeous 21-year-old rising actor, comes to the preschool to pick up his young sister Nemuka. Despite his public stardom, Taiga is remarkably inexperienced in romance and quickly develops a deeply earnest crush on Aika.
Set against the backdrop of everyday preschool pick-ups, the story captures the gradual bond between two hard-working individuals from completely different worlds. Taiga's innocent yet blunt attempts at courting Aika bring plenty of lighthearted humor and charming emotional depth.
