About this series
Burn the Witch is an urban fantasy manga written and illustrated by Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach. Set in the same shared universe, the story shifts the focus from Soul Society to the European Soul Society branch in London.
The story takes place in Reverse London, a secret shadow city located on the hidden side of historic London. While ordinary citizens cannot see dragons, the residents of Reverse London rely on witches and wizards to manage these magical creatures.
Protagonists Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole are witch partners working for Wing Bind, a dragon conservation and protection organization. They navigate high-octane combat, corporate witch bureaucracy, and mysterious rogue dragons known as Marchen.
Debuting as a one-shot in 2018 before enjoying a seasonal serial run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020, the manga gained instant worldwide acclaim. Kubo's iconic character fashion and dynamic artistic aesthetic shine throughout the series.
