Dark Gathering is a supernatural horror manga series written and illustrated by Kenichi Kondo. It follows Keitaro Gentoga, a college freshman prone to attracting spirits, who attempts to reintegrate into society as a private tutor.
Keitaro's first student is Yayoi Hozuki, a child prodigy with dual pupils capable of perceiving the spiritual realm. Driven by a tragic past, Yayoi seeks to rescue her mother's soul from a powerful malevolent deity.
Together with Keitaro's childhood friend Eiko Hozuki, the duo embarks on dangerous expeditions to famous haunted locations. They capture vicious evil spirits, using them as battle assets in tactical ghost fights.
Serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine since March 2019, the series has earned acclaim for combining genuine horror with intricate strategy. It stands out in modern dark fantasy for its unique ghost-capturing ecosystem.
